Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve seen our businesses, local government and communities pulling together in remarkable ways. The Invest in Cumbria Alliance applies that pace and ‘can do’ attitude to the next wave of investments in the region.

Trudy Harrison, MP for Copeland.

The Invest in Cumbria Alliance is a new, informal group created to attract and support the delivery of major new investments into our county.

Our purpose

To attract and support investors who want to do “good” business and help them create commercial sustainability built on delivering both social and economic value.

We want to de-risk investment by working in partnership to provide investor certainty, garner community support and ensure that the value of that investment is maximised at source for our communities, our economy and our environment.

We will provide investors with informal access to the best hearts and minds in Cumbria to help them shape outstanding proposals that will be both commercial successes and significant contributors to sustainable social value plans for our communities.
