We are guardians of The Cumbrian Investment Charter, a unique community charter that defines the Principles under which we operate and the Rights we will champion for both a prospective investor and the Cumbrian community in the context of any inward investment proposal.
This Charter is a living breathing document, developed in conversation with prospective investors, developers, local business owners and residents across Cumbria, all of whom have been asked for their input.

Our aim is to support any investment proposal to engage with Cumbrian businesses and residents through its Social Value Plan, and in the process deliver more value to our communities, with resulting benefits for all parties.
This community resource is owned and run by the community, operated as a not-for-profit cooperative. It’s called the Community Data Cooperative, it’s the first not-for-profit community-owned research business in the UK, and the first of many innovative, groundbreaking initiatives we hope to champion and be involved in.
