What is different about our offer?

We provide access to a powerful network of connected volunteers, comprising representatives from our political, business, academic and residential communities.

We are guardians of The Cumbrian Investment Charter, a unique community charter that defines the Principles under which we operate and the Rights we will champion for both a prospective investor and the Cumbrian community in the context of any inward investment proposal.

This Charter is a living breathing document, developed in conversation with prospective investors, developers, local business owners and residents across Cumbria, all of whom have been asked for their input.

To get involved as a business or an individual please join us through our community engagement partner, the Community Data Cooperative, and register below.

This consultation will help ensure successful developments, both commercially and socially.

We are creating a unique community resource comprising up to 5000 residents and 500 SMEs, that any investor can access to ensure they develop Social Value plans in consultation with the community. This consultation will help ensure successful developments, both commercially and socially.

Our aim is to support any investment proposal to engage with Cumbrian businesses and residents through its Social Value Plan, and in the process deliver more value to our communities, with resulting benefits for all parties.

This community resource is owned and run by the community, operated as a not-for-profit cooperative. It’s called the Community Data Cooperative, it’s the first not-for-profit community-owned research business in the UK, and the first of many innovative, groundbreaking initiatives we hope to champion and be involved in.
